About KinoShelf.
KinoShelf is your own shelf of films, series and anime. Save what you want to watch, mark what you have seen, react to it, and the titles you are likely to love find you. Every pick comes with the reason it was picked.
Your shelf
Hover any poster (or tap it on a phone) for quick actions: + saves it to your watchlist; liked, loved and didn’t like tell us you have seen it and how it landed; not for me lowers similar titles and greys the poster out. Clicking an active action again takes it back. Watched marks a title as watched without a rating; a film goes into your diary, a series counts as finished. Series you are following show your progress per episode and season in your library and under Continue watching.
How recommendations work
Each title is described by weighted features: director or creator, writers, lead cast, composer, themes, franchise, language, country, decade, format and runtime. Rare features count more than common ones. Your reactions, ratings and what you have seen build a taste profile, centered on your own average so a strict rater and a generous one are treated fairly. “Not for me” lowers similar titles without hiding them; “Not now” hides a title for 30 days without affecting your taste. No personal data is sent to an AI provider.
Reasons are links: “You liked Chicago P.D.” opens that title, a director or actor opens their page, a genre opens Discover. A few of your strongest matches carry a green For you frame; they are spread over the page and change daily, so the mark stays meaningful. We do not show match percentages on posters: the score only ranks titles against each other, and a bare number says little about whether you will enjoy something.
Discover and Top 10
Discoverlists what is popular right now: how many people are viewing, rating and saving each title worldwide, weighted so a handful of votes cannot top the list. Filter by format, genre and streaming service; the service filter uses what is available in Türkiye. When you are signed in, titles you have seen are hidden (turn off “Hide watched” to bring them back) and a short “Picked for you” strip shows your matches within the same filters.
Where to watch
Title pages show where a title streams, rents or sells in any country; pick the country and we remember it in your browser. For Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV, Crunchyroll, Google Play and YouTube the service name opens that service’s own search for the title. Local TV series that no streaming service lists show their broadcaster and official site instead.
Friends and watching together
Add friends with an invite link to see what they are watching, loving and rating (you can keep your own activity private in Settings). Watch together finds titles for a group: nobody has seen them, and the least happy person comes first.
